Dispensary

Currently we are concentrating our efforts on the improvement of the main dispensary, where our health office is based, and we hope to use this facility as a model to improve all of the health facilities in the area. Originally, the dispensary buildings were poorly maintained and too small to accommodate a proper health facility, but we were able to make the necessary repairs in order to usefully employ each building within the dispensary area. Recently, with financial support from MWCF, we were able to install solar electricity, provide clean, running water, and equip the dispensary with much needed desks, chairs, shelves and office equipment. A micro lab was recently added to be facility. With the growth of population and rapid expansion of infectious disease, a medical lab allows our doctor to make efficient, professional diagnoses for people in the community with serious maladies.

Doctor accommodation and Volunteers accommodation: We recently constructed two housing units, which are now equipped with running water and electricity. One of the houses accommodates our doctor and the other will serve as volunteers housing, as we hope to host medical professionals and teachers as volunteers in the future to contribute to the community.
