Dispensary

The main local dispensary is in bad condition and is terribly small. Our doctor, assisted by nurses is providing great help, but he needs more infrastructures.

We have taken care of the following:

Water: We dug a well, provided solar energy, are supplying water to the dispensary, the school and – through a dedicated trough – livestock.

Electricity: To supply the water, we needed to produce electricity for the water pump. With a system of solar panels and an inverter we are able to produce 220volts AC current. To provide electrical light to both the school and the dispensary we now need to hook the solar system to the buildings, install lights, switches and sockets.

Doctor accommodation and Volunteer accommodation: We just built a complex made of two 1 bedroom houses and one common living and dining area. The one house is for our doctor. We would like to be able to build others which could accommodate overseas doctors or teachers wishing to help in the field.
